Sundays | 8, 9:45 & 11:30am

Our Children’s Ministry partners with parents of children ages birth through 4th grade to teach the Word of God in a nurturing and grace-filled environment. We have wonderfully dedicated teachers who give their time faithfully to teach the kids on a weekly basis. All SBC campuses use the same curriculum, which goes through the Bible from beginning to end over a two-year time period. Parents and children have the opportunity to take home interactive sheets that apply the weekly lesson to everyday life—making it real and personal. In addition to kid-friendly and age-appropriate lessons, the teachers lovingly continue to build on the strong foundation of God’s Word through music, singing, skits, video, and group involvement. Our Cactus kids are seeing God’s Word in action!

Our goal is to give kids and their families valuable support in a loving atmosphere where they can connect with one another in relationships centered on Christ. It is our desire to teach kids and families how to live out God’s Word and make it real in their daily lives as they connect and grow here at Scottsdale Bible.

We want your kids to still receive Bible lessons and encouragement during this time. Click on the “Weekend Lessons” below to view a message from your Discovery Kids campus minister, a video Bible lesson, and more. We’re also sharing some great activities you can do as a family to review the week’s lesson.

  • Nursery

    Birth–2 years

Care is provided for infants, crawlers, walkers, and toddlers. If you're a new family with us, please register your child at our welcome center.

Children are placed in classes according to their age and development; therefore, nursery children may experience class adjustments as they develop through the year. Parents will be notified when a class change is necessary. Children who turned three after September 1 will remain in the nursery until the next program year.

  • Preschool

    Ages 3–4

Please register your child at our welcome desk if you’re new to SBC. The age guidelines above are based on your child’s age prior to September 1.

Discovery Kids is an exciting place for preschool age kids! They will join in worship, learn from storytellers, watch amazing videos, and enjoy a visit from their puppet friends. All the while, your little ones will be on a fantastic, chronological journey through the Bible.

  • Kindergarten, Grades 1-4

    Kindergarten, 1st-4th Grade

If you’re new to SBC, please register your child at our welcome desk.

Each week, our K5 through 4th graders participate in worship and learning during their large group time. Drama, storytelling, and creative videos are used to help elementary kids go deeper into the Word of God as they follow a chronological and fascinating study of the Bible.

Safe and Secure

All volunteers in Discovery Kids are background and reference checked. They are also fully trained in emergency procedures and abide by the rule of three, ensuring each child is always with a group of three or more people. Security cameras throughout our buildings and gated playgrounds provide added security for your children while they are on our campuses.

Mid-Week Programs

During the week at Scottsdale Bible Church, we have a variety of programs to come alongside parents to help them grow in their personal relationship with Christ. We love taking care of little ones as moms experience community through programs such as MOMS and Grace-Based Woman.

We also offer wonderful opportunities through AWANA for children to dig deeper into God’s Word and have a lot of fun while doing so!

Would you like to join us? We are always in need of volunteers for these programs! Please contact Lachelle to learn more about opportunities.

We are unable to offer the AWANA program this fall. The program has been paused until further notice.

Awana is a Wednesday night program for children ages 4 (by September 1) to 6th grade, designed to help them learn more about Jesus and the Bible while having tons of fun!

Just as with schoolwork, dedicating weekly study time to the Bible is an important component of helping our children know and love God better. Awana, which stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15), focuses on helping children learn and memorize key Bible verses while integrating fun through games and large group programming.
