Rooted inspires questions, conversations, and experiences designed to connect you to God, the church, and your purpose. Rooted isn’t a Bible study or a class, it’s about discovering and practicing seven rhythms that are part of a healthy relationship with Jesus. It’s an exciting journey of growth and doing things Jesus did that you can experience with others!

Rooted launches with a gathering at the Shea campus to kick off the season, meet your group, and hear the vision and plans for your session!
To conclude our Rooted experience, we will gather again at the Shea Campus to celebrate what God did, hear stories of transformation, and learn about next steps in our journey with Jesus!

Rooted is a 10-week experience designed to help you connect with God, the church, and your purpose. In Rooted, you’ll see how your story intersects with God’s story and discover helpful rhythms for life with Jesus. More than a class, Rooted involves walking together as a group, having conversations, and practicing what we learn. The session concludes with a celebration dinner where all groups come together. Whether you’ve been a Christ-follower for decades or are just starting to explore faith, Rooted is for you!
Rooted is the best place to get into small group community at SBC. You group will be prayerfully formed based on information from your registration, often based on life stages and other common factors. After you complete Rooted, our hope is that your group will continue on. We encourage everyone to go through Rooted before joining an ongoing group.
You can join Rooted with your existing group or be placed in a new group with others who are similar to you in life stage and other factors. Let us know your preference on your registration.
Once registration is open for the upcoming session, you can sign up below. The fee is $40 per person which includes all sessions, your workbook and materials, and the celebration dinner at the end of Rooted. You’ll get your book at the Rooted Kick-off the first week of the session. Please email us at rooted@scottsdalebible.com if you are unable to participate because of finances.
For the best Rooted experience, we recommend you engage as fully as you can. The 10 weeks build upon each other, and you and your group will get the most out of Rooted by attending every week. If you know you will miss more than two meetings, we suggest you join us for our next session.
Yes, childcare is offered at each campus! Look for the option to register in the confirmation email that you will receive after you complete your Rooted registration.
