Membership is a formal commitment to participate in the mission, vision and values of your church. It involves both an agreement with our statement of faith and a commitment to serve and support your church family as God has gifted you. Membership also offers opportunities to participate in important votes that affect the leadership and financial oversight of the church.
If you are a follower of Christ, it is important to belong to a local community of faith where you can be involved and committed to carrying out its mission and vision in the community and world. Church membership provides opportunities for spiritual growth, service, and belonging.
Anyone who has a genuine faith in Jesus, seeks to grow spiritually in community, and aligns with the beliefs and values of SBC should consider church membership. Individuals who are committed to participating in worship, community, and service within the body of Christ at SBC will find membership beneficial.
If you have been attending SBC regularly and are ready to commit to making SBC your church home and participating actively in the church family, you are invited to consider membership. You should be ready to commit to the responsibilities and expectations of members, such as participating in important voting opportunities, attending regularly, and supporting the ministries of SBC with your giftedness and abilities.
