Discovery Kids Family Night


All families with kids 4th grade and younger are invited to Family Nights! Events will vary at each campus, but include snacks or a meal, fun activities, a short lesson, and lively discussion about topics to help families grow in their faith. The vision of Family Nights is to connect families with one another and empower parents to grow as spiritual leaders in their homes. Mark these dates on your calendar and plan to bring your whole family out for these fun events!

Cactus

  • Family Nights are a chance for families with grade school and younger kids to connect, have fun, grow in faith, and apply the Bible to their lives. Each Family Night will include hands-on activities, snacks, a short lesson, and lively discussion. Bring your own dinner each week and get ready for some family fun!

    Thursday, February 8: More Attributes of God and Valentine's Dance

    Wear red as we dance our hearts away.

    Thursday, March 28: Journey to the Cross

    Enjoy an interactive experience leading to Easter.

    Saturday, April 20: Birds and the Bees

    Have you always wondered how to have “the Talk” with your children? This event will educate and empower you to have these discussions in age-appropriate ways and from a faith-based perspective.

Fountain Hills

    Thursday, February 22: Extended Hands Food Bank Event

    We'll have dinner together and pray for the families in our town who need help from the local food bank, learn how the food bank works, and pack gift bags for them to give to children.

    Thursday, March 28: Journey to the Cross Event

    Join us as we walk through the final week of Jesus' life as He journeys to the cross to save us.

    Thursday, April 25: BBQ and Water Slide Party

    Come celebrate the summer break from school with a BBQ, water slide, and more!

North Ridge

    Friday, February 9: Boots and Bows Hoedown

    Join us for an evening of twirls, two-steps, and fun at our Daddy/Daughter and Mother/Son Hoedown. Dust off your cowboy boots and put on your best western wear as we enjoy a night filled with laughter, bonding, and fellowship featuring music, dancing, food, a photo booth, and games. Saddle up and join us for a hoedown to remember!

    Wednesday, March 27: Journey to the Cross

    Step into the sacred season of reflection and renewal at our "Journey to the Cross" family event. We will begin with food and fellowship before families journey together through Jesus’ final days.

    Wednesday, April 10: Family Olympics

    Join us for a night of family fun and excitement at our Family Olympics! It's time to put on your game face, rally your team, and participate in a variety of spirited and entertaining challenges that will have the whole family cheering.

What can we expect to experience at Family Night?
Although the program will look a little different at each campus, your family can look forward to enjoying games, fun activities, worship, teaching, service opportunities and more!

Is there a cost for families to attend?
No, there is no cost for Discovery Kids Family Night. It’s free!

Will families sit together as unit?
Yes, families will sit together around tables and smaller families may sit together with another family.

Do families need to register for Family Nights?
There is no registration required to attend Discovery Kids Family Nights. We hope to see you each week!

Is childcare provided for younger children and infants?
Childcare is not provided; however, the entire family is welcome to join the fun, including younger children and infants!

What about families affected by special needs?
We offer assistance to families who have a child with special needs who has been registered as a SuperKid. Contact us for more information related to your specific needs.
