YTH Summer
Sundays, June 2 – August 4 | 5-7pm | All campuses
Over the summer, YTH will changing up Sunday Nights to feature fun special events after the worship and teaching each week. Students will also be encouraged to participate in “Summer in the Word” – a daily reading plan covering Luke and Acts with journaling using the S.O.A.P. method (details below). View the scheduled events, invite your friends, and get ready for an incredible summer!
Summer in the Word
Read through Luke and Acts with us this summer using the daily Reading Plan and see what God does in your life! The S.O.A.P. method will help you reflect on and apply what you’re learning.
June 2 – Pizza Review Night:
It’s time for YTH to find the best pizza in the Valley. A variety of pizzas will be purchased from all over Phoenix and brought to YTH. Students will taste-test each one and crown the best pizza in Arizona!
June 9 – Twinning Night:
Students will be challenged to find a partner prior to the service and “twin” with them. They can get their photo taken at a photo booth, and the best set of twins will win a prize. Ice cream sundaes will be served after the program.
June 17 – Monday night event due to Father’s Day:
All YTH (JHM and HSM) will combine at the Shea campus at 6:30pm for a night of worship and prayer. Dutch Bros and frozen treats will be served after the program.
June 23 – Missions Night:
This night will be centered on service. As JHM prepares for their day of missions, we will use the after-hang time to assemble blessing bags. We will also grill out after the program!
June 30 – Bob Ross Night:
Let’s get artsy! Come in your favorite 80s gear and prepare yourself for a paint night like you’ve never experienced before. Rumor is, Bob Ross himself will be joining us!
July 7 – Country Night:
This is a night of country themed fun! Rock your favorite flannel and come ready for corn hole, grilling, and much more!
July 14 – Chicken Pickle Night:
It’s time for a pickleball tournament! Students will compete to see who’s got the best game. We will be serving chicken for dinner.
July 21 – HSM Summer Camp:
Each campus will host a different JHM Summer Night while our HSM students are at camp. Check with your campus YTH Pastor to see what fun-filled events your campus is planning!
July 28 – Post-Camp Fiesta:
Following HSM Summer Camp, YTH will celebrate what God did the previous week. This night will include baptisms, student testimonies, and camp worship. Tacos will be served afterwards!
August 4 – Worship Night:
As we look to the new school year, we’ll celebrate, worship, and pray, asking God to do big things in YTH this school year.
