Church on Mondays Serve Team
Mondays | 8-10am | North Ridge HSM Room
This SBC North Ridge team is passionate about taking what we learn from God on Sundays and putting it into practice on Mondays through loving and serving others. We tackle all kinds of projects! We assemble hygiene kits for our local partners, write cards for first responders, create Operation Christmas Child gifts and pack shoeboxes, and serve meals at House of Refuge. Here are our current projects and needs:
- We are assembling and providing kits with basic hygiene and cleaning supplies for people experiencing homelessness, those struggling to recover from homelessness or addictions, and those transitioning back to society after incarceration.
- We are currently requesting donations for the meals we serve at House of Refuge and the hygiene kits mentioned above. Please drop off the following items on Sundays, March 12 and 19 in the North Ridge Courtyard:
- Canned food: green beans, mixed veggies, peas, beans, tomato sauce, chicken broth (canned or boxed).
- Hygiene items: shaving cream, brush/comb sets, boxed Band-Aids, hand soap (bottles), and Chapstick.
- We are also making blankets for foster kids to be distributed with the new bunk beds that North Ridge volunteers will be building. Our goal is to make 100 by May.
We often volunteer at local partners as a group. Joining this team is a great opportunity to experience community while serving others. All are welcome!
