Chancellor’s Class: The Hard Sayings of Jesus

It’s been said of Jesus that He would comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. Many will embrace the teaching of Jesus but at the same time condemn some of His words. Even His disciples questioned some of His teaching, asking, “This is a difficult statement; who can listen to it?” (Jn 6:60). This class seeks to engage with the context of the day and understand the depth of the truth Jesus taught in twelve of His hard sayings.
