Blood Drive
Wednesday, May 24 | 8:30am-1:30pm | Shea HSM Room
Did you know approximately 12,000 people a day need blood? That’s one person every two seconds! Won’t you be a hero for someone in need? Each year, SBC partners with Vitalant to host multiple drives on our campuses, and your donation of one unit of blood can save up to three lives. Blood banks need every type of blood, especially O negative, since it is the universal blood type. When you donate, your platelets are used to help cancer and leukemia patients, your plasma for burn and shock patients, and your red blood cells for surgery patients, premature babies, and accident victims. The entire process will take one hour, and the actual donation takes about 10–15 minutes. Thank you for taking the time to donate blood!
