Blood Drive

Wednesday, June 3 | 8:30am-12:30pm | Shea High School Building
Saturday, June 13 | 9am-1:30pm | North Ridge YTH HSM Room

Did you know 12,000 people a day need blood? That works out to every 2 seconds someone needs lifesaving blood. Won’t you come and be a HERO for someone in need?

With the onset of Covid-19, many of the scheduled blood drives were cancelled. This resulted in a large deficit in blood supplies across the nation which is still continuing. Please consider helping with that need by giving a potentially life-saving gift. Blood banks are in need of every type of blood, especially O negative, since it is the universal blood type. When you donate, your platelets are used to help cancer and leukemia patients, your plasma for burn and shock patients, and your red blood cells for surgery patients, premature babies, and accident victims.

The entire process will take one hour, with the actual donation taking about 10 minutes.
