Rejoice!

The world is quickly changing around us. Fear and confusion can become our new norm if we allow it. Who am I to believe? What will life be like in the future? How will I respond to it? As I contemplated these things amongst God’s creation, a wind came up and with it came the words, “Turn your eyes upon, Jesus look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.” These words summarize Paul’s words recorded in Philippians 4:4-8.

Yes, the world is in chaos. It can be challenging and discouraging to live in. Yet, through Jesus, God conquered the power of Satan, sin, and spiritual death at the cross when Jesus shed His blood for the forgiveness of sins and rose from the grave. We who believe in Him have the life of Christ in us! We are not powerless. We are not hopeless. We are not helpless. Believe He is with you. Believe He cares for you. Believe He will provide for you. Believe He is always good, no matter what. Fix your mind on Jesus Christ who is your only source of true joy and peace. Determine to live each day in unwavering faith in Him. Choose to rejoice in Him regardless of the circumstances in your life and around you. Jesus, the Son of God, is our only hope for true joy and peace. Rejoice!
