Get God, Get Real, Get Out There

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know Him, and He will make your paths straight. – Proverbs 3:5-6 (CSB)

Get God, Get Real, Get Out There looks different today than it looked two weeks ago. The complexity in our world has brought about unprecedented change that will mark us after the crises is abated. I love Proverbs 3:5-6; it is so familiar and yet as I was reading in the CSB version, the word KNOW stood out to me. It reminded me that my trust is connected to knowing God.

Get God – I am rereading books in the Old Testament that have wilderness passages, journaling how the Lord specifically led His people in unknown times and circumstances. Get Real – I am asking the Lord to expose places in my heart where I have not trusted Him. Get Out There – I have had conversations with neighbors I did not know and am realizing again that “out there” is outside my front door! We are all called to be the Church and I am personally excited at how the Lord is once again moving my heart towards His greater purpose!
