April 1, 2020

In compliance with our Governor’s directive, the majority of SBC’s staff is now working from home and our offices are closed through April 30. Our team is still actively serving and caring for the SBC congregation and our community in new and creative ways. We are also broadcasting our weekend services and preparing for special online celebrations of Good Friday and Easter. Even though we are apart, we can continue to build community and encourage one another. We invite you to stay connected with us on our social media channels and by subscribing to our weekly e-news where we share videos, devotionals, and important news and updates.

Join us for our online services on Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 9 and 11am. Last weekend, more than 11,000 of you tuned in to worship with us via our livestream webpage, SBC App, YouTube Live, Facebook and Roku or Apple TV. Although we miss being with you in person, we thank God for the opportunity to use technology to continue worshiping together during this season.

For the protection of everyone in our church family and community, we have paused all ministry group activities on our campuses. However, ministry is still happening, and in many ways, increasing. Our pastors and staff are committed to being available to meet with you to provide counseling or prayer.

If you have kids, they can still connect and grow through weekly lessons, activities and worship as well as daily fun on social media. Our youth are remaining connected on Instagram TV, YouTube, and through virtual small groups.

We are continuing to monitor the situation in our state and world, and pray fervently for an end to this crisis, wisdom for our leaders, safety for our healthcare workers, and healing for those affected. As the Church, this is an opportunity for us to demonstrate the sacrificial love of Jesus to our neighbors and community by meeting needs and sharing the unshakeable hope we have in Christ.

If you have pastoral needs, we’re here for you. Please reach out by calling our main number, 480.824.7200, or our Pastor on Call at 480.334.4102. Please leave a message and we will be return your call as quickly as possible.

Please stay in touch with us and with others as we navigate this unprecedented time with love, creativity and grace. We will continue to communicate with you here on this page, via email, and on social media to provide updates on resources and other news. We are praying for you and look forward to hearing from you through this season and welcoming you back to our campuses soon.
