Frequently Asked Questions

Are you meeting for on-campus services? Yes! We are thankful to be meeting for both in-person and online services at all three SBC campuses on Sundays at 8, 9:45 and 11:30am. While we value being together in community and are taking every precaution to help protect those who join us, we encourage families and individuals to choose the option that is best for them.

How can I join an SBC service online? Each Shea Worship Center and Grace Chapel service is broadcast live at 8, 9:45 and 11:30am on Sundays via our livestream webpage, SBC AppYouTube Live, Facebook, Roku and Apple TV. The services are also online throughout the week on the Live or Messages webpages (under the Watch menu), or under Messages on the SBC app.

Are you offering Children’s programs? Yes! Discovery Kids meets at 8, 9:45 and 11:30am each Sunday at all campuses. Our Discovery Kids ministry also records a weekly video lesson with worship and activities, allowing kids and families to stay connected from home. A new lesson is posted on YouTube every Saturday and the Discovery Kids team is active on their Facebook page as well.

What about Youth (grades 5-12)? All SBC YTH groups meet weekly on Sundays. Our YTH 5|6 (grade 5 & 6) program is offered at 9:45am (and 11:30am at North Ridge and Shea) each Sunday morning. On Sunday evenings, all youth (grades 5-12) gather for teaching, worship and community at 5pm on each campus (grades 7-12 at SBC Cactus). Our students also stay connected throughout the week on Instagramand YouTube.

Would you prefer we come in person or worship from home? We are wired for community, and we want to see you! We know, however, that many are not ready to re-engage in large group gatherings yet and respect the decisions each individual and family will make based on their circumstances. Our desire is to provide the best possible opportunities for both online and in-person groups. Our Online Pastor and team are available to connect with you each Sunday and throughout the week.

What health and safety measures are in place on SBC campuses? All surfaces, seating and high-touch areas are sanitized regularly and after each service. We offer socially distanced seating in our Shea Campus Worship Center balconies and in the additional services in our Venue and High School auditoriums. We offer an alternate service location with social distancing at our North Ridge Campus as well. Face masks are optional on all campuses, and we ask everyone to be mindful of others and stay home if they are feeling sick or have been exposed to someone with Covid-19.

Are classes and groups meeting on campuses? Yes, groups are meeting on all of our campuses, with social distancing and other precautions available. We also offer several classes and studies online. Visit our events page to discover ways to connect with others in community and view information on upcoming events, groups and classes. We also invite you to interact with us through our social media channels and subscribe to The Latest, our weekly e-news, where we share videos, stories, resources, upcoming events, and important news and updates. You can also learn about ways to help serve people in our city by visiting our local outreach page.
