The Point

As Scottsdale Bible Church celebrates its 50th year of vibrant ministry in Scottsdale and around the globe it is healthy and helpful to take a look at our core values and beliefs. In 1962, when SBC was birthed, one of the very first things the original group of believers did was to draw up a “Statement of Faith” – declaring the fundamental things that the Bible says is true about God, this world and spiritual life. These are doctrinal truths that unify us and guide us.  They act as parameters for membership and become the rallying point for our action – whether it be with each other or the world around us.  It’s hard to overestimate the importance of a Church’s belief structures, as they shape and form all we do, pointing us in a particular direction.

This series will take our congregation on a journey through our Statement of Faith and ask the question, “What’s the Point?”  Covering topics such as the importance of the Bible, the nature of God, the nature of man, salvation, the End Times, and the Church, we will rediscover “The Point” of our beliefs as we combine Scripture and reason to understand more fully our Christian faith.
