Why does SBC sell tickets to Winter Wonder?
Offering tickets in advance gives everyone an opportunity to reserve seats for the performance(s) of their choice and avoid standing in line for hours with uncertainty about getting seats. In addition, rather than receiving an offering during the performances to support special projects in our community, ticket proceeds are used to fund these projects.
How do Winter Wonder ticket sales support community outreach?
Community outreach remains a key focus of Winter Wonder. A portion of ticket proceeds will be directed to a special giving project that helps make a difference in our community, specifically with children and families. This year, our giving project focuses on building, assembling, and delivering bunk beds to children and families in need. Thousands of Arizona kids sleep on the floor each night, and SBC has partnered with the Sleep in Heavenly Peace to help change that! More than 500 SBC volunteers have already built and given away 300 beds, and in 2022, through Winter Wonder ticket proceeds, we will host and fund two more bunk bed build weekends at SBC campuses.
How much do tickets cost?
Reserved seats are $6, $11 and $19 and are available for online purchase. Price points and a seat map may be viewed when selecting tickets. An option to donate an additional gift above and beyond the ticket price to help fund our Winter Wonder bunk bed building project will be available on the website during checkout.
Where can I purchase tickets?
Tickets are now on sale, and you may use the button above to select your seats.
Note that tickets are non-refundable, but may be given to others or turned in to be donated by visiting the front office or calling the hotline at 480.824.7245.
Are there comp or discounted tickets for volunteers, performers or staff?
Because ticket costs are reasonable and will support worthy causes, we are asking each person to purchase a reserved seat for the show they will attend.
Is my ticket tax-deductible?
Ticket purchases are not tax-deductible; however, any donation to the Winter Wonder giving project that is above and beyond the ticket purchase will be deductible, and a confirmation email will be your receipt.
Is childcare available?
Yes, free childcare is available for children five and under at all performances. Once you have purchased your ticket(s), click here to register for childcare.
Is there designated handicap / special assistance seating and will these patrons be allowed early entry?
Yes, there are designated handicap, special assistance and companion seats available for purchase at each performance. Doors will open to all guests 30 minutes prior to the start of each show.
How long is each performance?
The performances are just under two hours, including a 15-minute intermission.
Will the Café be open?
Yes, the Café will offer grab n’ go food and beverage items before each performance and during intermission.
What should we expect during the show’s intermission?
This break in the show will give you an opportunity to stretch your legs on the patio, take a photo by the tree, and get to know others who may be new to SBC. You can also stop by our Café to grab a snack, beverage or $1 coffee, and browse our books, Christmas décor and gifts. In past years, we have served cider and cookies during intermission, but during this challenging health season that necessitates individually wrapped servings, we had to forgo that offering this year. We look forward to hearing stories of how you connected with new friends and helped them feel welcome here at SBC.
How can I get involved?
We need hundreds of volunteers to help greet, seat guests, and care for kids. Click here for volunteer sign-ups.
