Why We Go:

  • To obey Christ’s command in the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20).
  • To aid and build up the ministry of the local Church and our missionaries.
  • To reach the unreached and the unengaged with the gospel.
  • To develop a deeper awareness of the breadth and depth of the body of Christ.
  • To be personal witnesses to the world of our life in Christ.

Where We Go:

  • To visit Scottsdale Bible missionaries and work alongside, encourage and assist them in accomplishing their ministry goals.
  • To serve and be a blessing to the Global Church.
  • To areas of natural disasters where practical and compassionate care is needed.

What We Do:

  • Because we go to serve long-term & existing ministries, we will serve as our partner Churches/missionaries have need. Some of these serving opportunities are: teaching, equipping, evangelism, and counseling; health care and education; men’s, women’s, and children’s ministries (VBS); music outreach, construction projects, & Bible distribution.

Guatemala: Panajachel

Description: Each year, English-speaking Evangelical missionaries in Guatemala are provided with a unique retreat for inspiration, encouragement and networking. In their daily lives of ministry, these missionaries have few opportunities for English Bible teaching, meeting with other missionaries serving in Guatemala, and singing some of their favorite hymns and choruses in English. They eagerly look forward to this time, and their children look forward to the fun they’ll have with the American volunteers who run the children’s program. Be a part of this team to bless the missionaries and their kids of all ages.

Open to: Adults

Description: This trip provides a unique opportunity for families to serve together in Rocky Point (Puerto Peñasco) Mexico to build homes for needy families in partnership with 1Mission. This ministry works with local residents, leaders, and pastors to lift each other out of physical, spiritual and emotional poverty, concentrating their efforts on long-term sustainable solutions. Every family that has a home built for them has completed over 200 hours of community service in an effort to build up the community and develop a culture of ownership. Children ages 5 and up are welcome and encouraged to participate. The team will be sleeping and eating at the 1Mission Base Camp, a facility with hot showers and safe food.

Poland: European Leadership Forum (ELF)

Description: Most Christians don’t think of Europe as a spiritually needy continent, but just 3% of Europeans identify themselves as evangelicals. The European Leadership Forum is a strategic effort to train, encourage and strengthen Europe’s evangelical leaders who often serve in antagonistic and isolated environments. The members of SBCs volunteer team provide the support to make the Forum a success. It is an energizing, humbling and unforgettable experience!
