We believe women grow spiritually when they spend time studying the Bible together. If you are looking for a place to grow in your relationship with Jesus and other women, we have several Fall Bible Studies for you to choose from at our Cactus, North Ridge, Fountain Hills, and Shea campuses or online. Come join us—there is a seat saved just for you!

Study for Moms: When You Pray (various authors)

Prayer is a gift—an invitation to talk with God. In God’s Word, we encounter many voices who model this for us. This study with seven influential Bible teachers of our generation will teach and inspire us to walk in a more intimate prayer life. Moms of all ages and stages of life are invited. Through generational conversation and encouragement, we will focus our prayer on our families and children with the support of experienced mentor leaders. *Class ends 11/22.

The Gospel on the Ground by Kristi McLelland

Discover from the early Church years described in the book of Acts how God wants to use you to carry His gospel message. We will learn how Jesus' message of hope and reconciliation began to spread from Jerusalem and how it is still spreading today. By studying Acts from the cultural viewpoint of the early church, you will discover how God wants to use you in His redemptive story.

This class will give you strategies to help you adapt, feel connected, and thrive after your move. Many of us suppress our feelings because we’re worried that they are ungodly. Others are so led by emotions that we let them dominate everything, including our faith. In these honest, personal, and uplifting meditations on 24 selected Psalms, we will look at emotions we all experience, ranging from shame, anxiety, and anger through gratitude, hope, and joy.

How can we discern truth and what is real while living in a divisive and deceptive culture? John, the beloved disciple, shares his wisdom with the early Church in the three short letters. His challenge to them and to us is to hold fast to what we know, the truth of the Gospel and God's abiding love, and live like we believe it. This 10-week study with Jen Wilkin will help us discern truth in a confusing, hostile environment and live in real fellowship with God and other believers.

Isaiah by Melissa Spoelstra
Teacher: Sherry McBride | $25
This comprehensive study of the book of Isaiah will focus on striving less and trusting in God's character, His comfort, His timing, His commands, His correction, and ultimately in His coming again. In addition to Melissa's focus, we will seek to understand the historical context of the book of Isaiah and its relevancy during this time in Judah's history and in our time. We will grasp the comprehensiveness of the book of Isaiah, which has been referred to as “the Bible in miniature.”
Women at the Well
Teachers: Heather Wills and Carol Ross | $20
Come expectant as we gather at the well to meet different women of the Bible and learn more about who God is as we look at how He moved in their lives. This class will challenge us to grow as we discover how to apply the lessons of each woman’s life to our own lives. We will take these lessons and use them in the unique places where God has called us as we replenish our lives at the well with His Living Water.

Study of Matthew
Teacher: Teri Colvin | $20
Matthew gives us a portrait of Jesus—the true Messiah, Immanuel (God incarnate with His people), Son of God, King of Israel, LORD of the church—the One who fulfilled the Scriptural promises of God. Each week, we will study one to two chapters of Matthew in our Bibles, covering Matthew 1-13 in the fall and Matthew 14-28 in the spring. This class includes a light dinner at 6:15pm.

Cultivating a Christian Worldview
Teacher: Leslie Tokarski
Our worldview is the lens through which we interpret our lives. It answers the universal questions: How did everything begin? How did I get here? What is the purpose for everything? What happens when I die? In this study, we will develop a biblical mindset by digging deep into God’s Word for the answers to Christian living in today’s postmodern society.

Purposeful Motherhood

Moms raising children 15 years and younger are invited to this study of the book of Ruth. We’ll examine Ruth’s journey of unbearable loss, redeeming love, and divine legacy to see how God is faithful to rescue, revive, and restore us.

More than any other New Testament writer, John wrote about love. He was one of Jesus' closest disciples, and his first letter is both challenging and comforting, encouraging us to live out God's unconditional, extravagant, lavish love. This study will end on October 16.

Coping Skills for Life

Discover from a Licensed Professional Counselor how to cope with difficult emotions, relationships, and events by applying neuroscience, counseling tips, and Scripture. When the storms of life come at us, we need practical skills to overcome them, such as radical acceptance, getting over resentments, active listening, boundaries, self-awareness, gratitude, and many more. Join six beloved Bible teachers who will help you study prayers in the Bible that can inspire your own. You’ll learn that God welcomes your praise and lament, your thanksgiving and intercession. God has an incredible purpose for us in this life, and we get to know and love the God of the universe, and even participate in His plans! Our amazing privilege is to live for the glory of God, that His name and His fame would be spread throughout the earth. Jesus has promised us abundant life and joy not dependent on any life circumstance. Yet life in this fallen world is harsh, and trouble abounds. It is easy to become weighed down with worries, defeat, past hurts, hopelessness, and other bondages that can dull or block our intimacy with Christ and make us feel stuck. This class will give us new tools to tackle our obstacles and live fully free in His power and purposes. The goal is transformation, and the time is now! *This class uses the Knowing Freedom book.
