Moving Mountains (Fall)/Grabbing Joy (Spring) | Shea A4
In this special MORE for Moms offering, your fall class will feature “Moving Mountains” with Jenica McMaster. In the spring you will enjoy “Grabbing Joy” with Kim Rasmussen. Both semesters are included in your annual registration fee. Class descriptions below.
Join Jenica McMaster to unpack the wisdom of Matthew 17:20b “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” In this in-depth Bible Study, we will journey through some of the major mountains humans face here on earth and learn to move those mountains by faith. We will dive deep into the scriptures studying people who faced mountains like fear, guilt, insecurity, offense, pride or comfort and learn from their examples. We will give you ideas for discussing these mountains with your kids at home and tools for how to train them up in the truth so that these things won’t become mountains in their lives! If you have never opened the Bible or have been studying for years this will be a fun, interactive study for moms of all ages and stages!
Kim Rasmussen will share how to grab hold of joy! In the hustle of being a mom to small kids it can be easy for joy to get lost in the face of all else you are up against. Kim is passionate about helping moms reclaim our joy and navigate around the pitfalls that can work to steal our hope. She will utilize her husband’s (SBC Senior Pastor Jaime Rasmussen) book, “How Joyful People Think” as well as doing a “joy” word study in Scripture. She will bring her strength of drawing the practical out of God’s Word to equip you to grab hold of joy and let nothing steal it from you again during this precious time of being a mom!

Maiden Voyage, Stormy Seas, Anchored Love: Seasons of the Nautical Adventure
Teacher: Kimberly Graunke
Join us as we set sail through the stages of marriage, charting a course for the adventure of two becoming one. The journey will cover the joys and the sorrows, the tragedy and triumphs of the sail together. We will cross the sea of sexual intimacy, troubled waters of unforgiveness and conflict, then navigate through trust and control, judgement and humility, and finish as we land on the island of submission and surrender. This expedition is not for the faint of heart. We will not be alone. The captain of the ship will be God, who can calm every stormy sea and anchor us from drifting aimlessly.
Whether you are a newlywed or have been married for years, you will be equipped with all the nautical knowledge for the excursion of a lifetime. Hope, encouragement, and the truth of God’s promises will be our sails that capture the wind to power us forward through all the elements.
