Would you like to volunteer in a practical and meaningful way that helps prevent foster care in our community? At this meeting, you will learn how SBC’s ministry partner CarePortal uses volunteers to meet the real-time needs of families who are in crisis. You will learn why we serve families to prevent foster care and the various roles available with CarePortal, including serving on a response team, delivery team, or shopping team.
CarePortal is a technology platform that enhances the work of the local church and community to care for vulnerable children and families, together. Child-serving professionals share needs on behalf of the families they serve, and local churches, along with businesses and advocates in the surrounding community, are alerted to respond in real time with resources to maintain, reunite, or connect kids with family.
