Knowing the Story’s End

Psalm 46:1-3, 7
Revelation 21:3-6

I have a confession to make. I remember watching a tense football game with friends last season, my team playing my husband’s team. Tight score, back and forth. Stressful. We paused the game to make dinner before watching the last quarter. In secret, I checked the final score on my phone. Instantly, the stress was gone. I watched the game unfold with a calm, quiet, confident heart, because I knew the outcome! I knew who won. Even in those moments filled with unbearable suspense for everyone else, I knew how the story would end.

For believers, that’s true in all aspects of life, from the mundane to the terrifying.  We must navigate the heart-stopping twists and turns in life together, encouraging one another, because ultimately, we know how the story ends.  We can rest in peace. God is always faithful. God is always good. God is always victorious! Who needs to hear this encouraging truth in your sphere of influence today?
