He’s Got This

Fear is a very real thing: fear of the unknown, fear of getting sick, and fear of loss. So why is it that so many times in the Bible God tells us not to fear? He says, fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God (Isaiah 41:10). Could it be it’s because He knows He is the great I AM? Absolutely! We forget. Fear forgets God, trust embraces God. Fear paralyzes while trust mobilizes. Fear grips us, trust releases us into the hands of an Almighty God who is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, ever present, awesome, sovereign. And the list goes on and on. For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord? Who among the heavenly beings is like the Lord? (Psalm 89:6)
