Changed by the Lord

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. -Ephesians 2:10 ESV

In my spare time, I restore antique radios. When I buy a decades-old radio from a flea market, I don’t plug it in and turn it on as soon as I get it home. It could start a fire, I could get a shock, or it might just ruin the radio for good. Before anything else, all the bad parts must be replaced, and the radio calibrated. Then I turn it on and wait for the tubes to warm up.  Once it begins to come to life and crackle, I turn the dial and hear the music!

Our lives are a bit like an old radio. We were purchased by the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:20) who gently changes the parts of us that don’t work. What does He need to replace in you so that you can play His sweet music? He has so much planned for you!
