Compassion That Cares

Fear does not come from God (2 Timothy 1:7). God makes it possible to release control of yourself to the Spirit, which will lead you to fear less (Galatians 5:22). As you fear less, you can become increasingly selfless, which results in compassion that CARES:

  • Cultivate unlikely relationships – Compassion sees potential in everyone, even those who are the most unlikely. Nobody is beyond the reach of God’s grace (Romans 3:29)!
  • Assist sincere seekers – Including others in what God leads you to do is vital to extending Christ’s mission to the world (Ephesians 2:19-22).
  • Represent the faithful – Compassion empowers you to fearlessly lend your reputation and credibility as a platform for the continuance of the Gospel (Proverbs 13:17).
  • Encourage others – Compassion literally imparts your courage, rooted in your confidence in Christ, to those in need of it (Colossians 2:2).
  • Sacrificially supply unity – Compassion expressed is predictable in its ability to facilitate unity (Ephesians 4:1-3, 13).

Being compassionate requires you to put yourself out there, put Christ on display in your life, and to participate in the activity of the Spirit amongst the Body of Christ in this world!
