National Day of Prayer

Scottsdale Bible Church Joins with America in Praying on the National Day of Prayer

On May 7 we will pray with our people and those who are drawn to pray with us. We call the church to pray for our country, our community, our leaders, our church and our families. We do this by offering the following:

  • Open times of prayer in the Prayer Garden: An open church prayer garden where people can come and pray quietly in a shaded, pastoral setting. Come any time from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and pray with the family or come alone. We supply prayer guides to assist those who pray. Refreshments provided. Stay as long as you like.
  • Three hosted times of prayer in the prayer garden. Join the staff and elders in the prayer garden at three specific focused times of prayer on Thursday, May 7
  • Before work and school: 6:30-8:30 a.m., coffee provided
  • A worshipful prayer service (half hour). Led by SBC worship team, 12-12:30 p.m.
  • After school and work, 4 p.m.-6:30 p.m., lemonade and cookies provided

“Few nations have been so favored by Almighty God, and it is altogether fitting that a day be set aside for the purpose of prayer.” President Lyndon Johnson, May 4, 1965
