Christmas Winterfest, December 16

Wednesday, 5-7 p.m.; dinner available, $4 per adult, $3 per child

Reservations are now closed; tickets will be sold at the door.

Christmas is the perfect time of year to reach out to our community with the message of Jesus Christ—and our Christmas Winterfest on Wednesday, December 16 offers the perfect opportunity to do just that!

This lively festival will feature a snow hill, horse-drawn hayride, live nativity, delicious dinner ($4 per adult, $3 per child, served from 5–7 p.m in the Town Centre), fun games, thoughtful drama and yummy goodies—with the message of Jesus’ birth as the centerpiece of the celebration!

An event of this size needs many volunteers and donations in order to make it successful. We have a great need for individually-wrapped candy.  If you would like to donate a bag or two, please drop it off in Kidz Check or at the church office from December 1–14. Please note that the Children’s Ministry is a nut-free zone; candy containing nuts or peanut butter will not be accepted.

Thank you for helping spread the message of Christmas to the families in our community and inviting your friends and neighbors to attend our Christmas Winterfest! If you would like to volunteer, contact Donna Anderson at danderson@sbcaz.org or call 480.824.7271.

Christmas Eve Services

4 and 5:30 pm, family service

7:30 and 9 pm, candlelight service

Christmas Eve Services—remember His birth! On Thursday, December 24, Christians all over the world will sing a familiar Christmas hymn, O Little Town of Bethlehem. Seems odd to sing about an ancient city in a modern church, doesn’t it? Truly, the song is about the Light that shined in a dark world over 2000 years ago and the chorus concludes with these simple words: “Man will live forevermore because of Christmas Day.” This Christmas, come celebrate the gift of eternal life that began with the birth of Christ.

At Scottsdale Bible Church, our mission is to create a Christmas Eve worship service* that invites you to experience the unfailing love of God every day of the year. Our earlier services (4 and 5:30 p.m.) will be designed specifically for families—55-minute services with high-energy, contemporary worship, humor and a brief Christmas message from Pastor Jamie, all designed to turn our eyes toward Christ. The later services (7:30 and 9 p.m.) will be more traditional Christmas Eve services that will bring our hearts to a place of reverence before the Lord as we explore the mystery and majesty of Advent through music, readings and a brief Christmas message from Pastor Dale Galloway. All of the services will include a Christmas Eve candle-lighting ceremony. Please choose a Christmas Eve service that is best for you and join us this Christmas Eve as we celebrate that wonderful and profound truth: that we will indeed live forevermore because of Christmas Day.

We encourage you to make this season a time of special significance in your life—and in the lives of others.
*Note: No childcare will be available for any of the Christmas Eve Services—children are welcome in the Worship Center!
