Imagine Awakening

Not too many dry eyes in the congration at the 9:45 service. Many a man was emotionally moved. Great to see. Pray it brings forth fruit in due season. God blessed. Thank you!

Thanks for pouring your energy into us today in prayer, your message, and your heart. Through you the Spirit moved us and you were a great kickoff to a great season for SBC in 2010.

Pastors need to prepare their sermons. It’s topical; it’s expository; prayerful preparation is a necessity. Some even go a step further and, after preparing, prepare for the Spirit to have the last word. Such was our experience today with Karl Clauson who who prepared and then saw God take over, all for the benefit of us in the pews. It’s not so much a “Gee what a great sermon.” It is ” Oh Oh; I don’t think I can leave as the same person.” Thanks much for real change.

Praise God for his perfect timing. He was indeed glorified at the 5 pm service tonight. There was a revival of hope and promise in our midst. What a gift God has given to Karl! He reminds us of the purpose of refining fire in our lives. The Lord has used Karl to AWAKEN me spirtually and I am humbly grateful.

I am an usher at the 5:00 service that we attend regularly.
When Tim Kimmel (jokingly said) we would not get stuck with him and the next thing we knew we got this, who is Karl Clauson guy (thought that was some kind of pickle)walks up on the stageto take Tim Kimmels place. O.K.
Well folks I have to tell you all. I have been going to church all my life except when I left the Lord for awhile and I have heard every kind of minister,pastor from Billy Graham to Joel Osteen and our 1 and only Daryl Delhousaye; but I never have been moved and so deeply touched and yes, I could not see through my wet eyes. I have been down the same path as this man and I know that only someone that has been down the wrong paths of life can feel the emotions of this man.
This was by far the best sermon I have heard in a very long time; not putting down our pastor Jamie because he moves me a little each week.
Please bring this man back to fill us up even more.

Yes, what an amazing move of God today at 9:45. Karl touched so many through his open, honesty, and spirit led conviction and challeges. My husband was moved to tears and went back to hear it for a second time at the 5pm, He was able to talk my brother (who is a prodigal) into going with him!!! Praise the Lord!! Please do bring Karl back again whenever a guest speaker is needed.

I attended the 11:15 serivce and brought a guest who was looking for some spiritual direction; little did I know what God had in store for my friend and I. Karl, thank you for allowing God you use you to minister to us at SBC. I have been Awakened and humbly reminded how God transforms us…
It was absolutely beautiful to see the entire church raise their hands and truely praise our God!
What an amazing service!!! God Bless!!

Yes Karl, we ARE creatures of habit!…Unfortunately, as you said, the habits that too often stick to us are negative ones. The ones that seem to have velcro! Why is it that good habits take more effort in order to really stick??? Pastor Karl spoke so clearly about how these dark cycles and patterns often take hold of our lives….and how… WHEN we reach the end of “me,” THEN God can fully”be” in us….only He can release us from the bondage of sin, when we put our “hands up” in “surrender and victory”. ONLY Jesus came to save us forever. When that REALLY sinks into our hearts…. how Jesus payed ….then REAL THANKFULNESS to HIM can fuel our lives to break those chains, and fill us with HIS HOLY SPIRIT POWER…to produce healthy new fruit through constructive habits and patterns full of living water…resulting in LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, GENTLENESS, FAITHFULNESS, and SELF CONTROL..What transforming love and thankfulness flows from truely “getting JESUS” ….I am so thrilled that my dear son, James, and his lovely girlfriend, Nicole, were at your service and were so touched and moved by it, that they shared it with me via computer ( Facebook) …and I, as you can tell, listened to it on line! Rock on Karl!…Sending love and thanks for sharing Jesus so passionately… from Virginia ( by Washington DC)…Your words touched, and blessed me to the core. I too was moved to tears as I listened to Pastor Karl speak! Karl’s message,touched me so much The whole world is in a terrible mess, and even believers are confused,frightened and hurting due to the loss of their business, their homes, everything as they once knew it. God is in the very heart of it, and is right there beside us. We need to hear from Karl, and, or other pastors, and be inspired from within so we can change, and also then witness to others. It was an AMAZING sermon! Thank you so much!

What a wonderful and powerful message! What a wonderful and powerful pastor! It carries a lot of weight hearing from people who have been there and really know what they are talking about! Our hearts and souls are continually touched by the sermons and pastors at SBC. Not a dry eye around us at the 5:00 service. I believe some very good things happened that night. I am so sorry I missed this message in person… I started watching the web site and couldn’t stop watching…. I have been talking about it and sending the link to people since I watched it. It was inspriring to hear such honesty and to hear the sincerity (SP?) about really knowing Jesus. WOW! WOW! WOW!
