Youth Orchestra

We have just finished our spring season of SBC Youth Orchestra 2012 and it was phenomenal! We had 40 students from ages 5 to 18 who performed at the Phoenix Praise Symphony Concert on April 27th as well as in SBC Sunday Services on April 29th. Under the direction of Bruce Pearson, our students spent five weeks rehearsing and learning to use their gifts to praise the Lord.

Watch for announcements in January 2013 for our next season of youth orchestra. For information and to join the mailing list, contact Tammy Reimche at treimche@sbcaz.org. We ask that students have at least three years of playing experience and are primarily of middle school and high school playing level.

Choir/Orchestra rehearsal

6:30 p.m.–8:15 p.m., Worship Center bldg (map)
The Worship Arts ministry meets every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Worship Center building. Those wishing to join the orchestra should call 480-824-7317 for an audition. An initial 'get to know you' interview with Troy Peterson, Worship Pastor, is required for the choir as well as a love of the Lord and a desire to help people see Jesus through worship and the arts. We ask that everyone make at least a two service commitment on Sundays and attend all rehearsals whenever possible. To find the rehearsal rooms, park in the south parking lot, come to the south patio and enter through the doors on the west end. From there follow the sound of busy voices and laughter.
