Bethany Ranch Home Adult Day Program
Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., E102
Bethany Ranch Home, Inc. is a Christian based non-profit organization that has been providing services to developmentally disabled individuals for over forty years. We provide services that promote physical, spiritual, emotional, mental well-being. We currently have available space for additional people in our program so if you know someone who would benefit from this program please contact us. Down Syndrome Network
Third Tuesday of the month, 6:30 p.m., E102
This is an open group and you are welcome to join us at any time. Our mission at DSNetwork is to educate, support and advocate for those in our community impacted by Down syndrome. DSNetwork will achieve this goal through an open, supportive and collaborative network that will connect individuals and families with needed resources and information. Our purpose is 1) To provide information to assist people with DS and their families to better understand and arrange for services. 2) To provide networking opportunities for people with DS and their families. 3) To promote greater public understanding of people with DS and the syndrome itself. 4) To effect change in policies and behavior to improve services, education, employment and overall quality of life for people with DS and their families. High Functioning Autism Family Network
Last Thursday of the month, 6:30 p.m., E102 (check-in), E103, B132, B133
A community of adults, parents and children learning to work as a family to support a member with high functioning autism. We share information on doctors, therapies, school issues, camps, and counseling. Your entire family is invited to join us; parents love the support and kids love the friends. We have three socialization groups: 1) young kids that are potty trained 2) tweens and teens 3) young adults.
Our Fun Friday (O.F.F.) Nights
First Friday of the month, 6:30-8:30 p.m., E103 Family Room
Our Fun Friday Nights is the first Friday of every month. All ages welcome! Bring the whole family or take the night “OFF”! Students with special needs can come and have fun with their friends (and family). We have movie nights, karaoke, crafts, games, anything that involves fun! Come join us anytime. Project Light Learning Center
Tutor sessions are scheduled Monday through Friday
Project Light is an amazing software-based tutoring system for literacy and English as a Second Language. The Project Light curriculum is faith-based using Bible scripture to teach people to read!
Who can benefit from Project Light in SBC’s Learning Center?
- Learning challenged children, youths and adults
- Anyone with low reading, language, math skills
- Folks who are hearing or mentally impaired
- Anyone who needs to learn English as a second language
We are currently accepting students who could benefit from this program as well as tutors.
Sign up a student in need or come give your time as a tutor. Tutors only need a love for God and a love for people.
Sports and Recreation Therapy for High Functioning Autism / Aspergers
Phoenix High Functioning Autism / Asperger’s Family Network has a sports and recreation therapy program that finds creative ways for those with High Functioning Autism / Asperger’s to interact with each other. Kids have different play areas where the only rule is that they cannot play solitary games. The goal is socializing and making friends for future play dates.
