Special Ministries

Special Ministries is blessed with all ages of students able to meet together as many as three times a week. Our group loves to make new friends and what better way to do this than to go out into the community and meet new people or invite new friends to spend time with us.

One way we enjoy reaching into our community is through our visits to Avalon Shadow Mountain Nursing Home. This facility has graciously allowed us to visit and spend an hour singing together with the residents. Cindy O’Connell who leads worship once a week in Special Ministries also volunteers at the nursing home. We bring a small gift and enjoy a few moments with our new friends afterward. Afterwards our group enjoys a nice lunch together.

Another way we enjoy reaching into our community is through O.F.F. Nights. “Our Fun Friday”. This is a great way to spend time as a family or parents to take the night off. The first Friday of every month Special Ministries has something fun on Friday night; Karaoke, movies, games, crafts, and more! All ages welcome to E102, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Come join us to have a night “off”! No need to call just show up and have fun!
