Special Ministries

Our nation’s constitution states that we are all created equal. Clearly, we do not all have the same abilities, talents, or interests; however every life has value. Every person’s dignity should be upheld as he or she is treated with respect and given the opportunity to develop as a complete individual. This is the driving force behind the Special Needs department at Scottsdale Bible.
Our efforts fall into two main areas:
- faith-based, also known as church-focus
- community-driven, also known as community-focus
These two areas are not mutually exclusive as everyone is welcome to participate in both areas and many families choose to do so.

Faith Based
For church services we provide appropriate care for children and adults so family members can attend worship services and Bible studies. For faith-based activities we adapt our environment and teaching so we can worship, pray, and share the Bible with our students. We want everyone to feel loved and welcomed as we share God’s unconditional love.
Community Driven
Community events and programming are intended to encourage and build up individuals and families affected by disabilities. We welcome everyone to these events because our services and resources are open to the entire community. The goal may be respite, recreation, or providing useful resources, but we believe we are best served when we work together. We also believe that is how we should care for our neighbors. Jesus taught clearly in the parable of the Good Samaritan that we help each other and ask nothing in return.
