Ministry Partner Service

One of Scottsdale Bible’s vision initiatives is to connect 75 percent of current attendees in “Fellowship and/or Service.” When we serve, we are serving Jesus Himself. Service is being involved in something bigger than ourselves and opening our eyes to the truly important things of life. It gives us an opportunity to use the gifts God has endowed us with and to make an everlasting impact for Gods kingdom.

We encourage everyone who regularly attends Scottsdale Bible to be engaged in serving others outside the church. Take a moment to explore these many wonderful opportunities available to you for serving. Try serving in several different places until you find the place you feel God has called you to serve. Many of these service opportunities are excellent for enrichment classes (EC), small groups (SG), and families (F).

• Male and female mentors. 2 hours twice a month on weeknights.

• Host or volunteer at a CEF neighborhood summer club. Monday – Friday for 1.5 hours during summer.

• After school volunteer to help with homework, supervise computer time, and teach crafts and activities. Mondays – Thursdays 3 – 6pm Sept through May.

• Special interest teachers who can instruct kids in activities such as tennis, golf, soccer, martial arts, sewing, carpentry, etc. 2 – 3 hours on day of class. Days and times vary.

• Put together hygiene kits then distribute them at homeless shelters. Meet at Scottsdale Bible the third Saturday of every month in E105 at 3:15 p.m. for a brief orientation before you go together to serve from 4–7 p.m. at the shelters. (EC) (SG) (F)
