Phoenix Rescue Mission

phoenix-rescue-missionThe Phoenix Rescue Mission has been serving the Valley’s homeless since 1952. Much has changed since we occupied a humble building and chapel on South Third Street in Downtown Phoenix. The Third Street kitchen served roughly 40 meals a day. Fast forward to 2008, and the Phoenix Rescue Mission serves 5,600 meals a week and has two locations: The main campus with shelter and kitchen located at 1801 S 35th Ave and the Family Outreach Center on 26th Ave and McDowell. One thing has remained the same, and that is our commitment To Rescuing Lives, To Saving Lives, To Changing Lives and To Serving Lives.

Phoenix Rescue Mission in action:

  • 650 meals served daily to the homeless and needy, as well as showers and clean clothing
  • 92 bed emergency shelter with evening chapel services for men
  • Hope Coach travels the streets to provide sack meals, water, clothes and shoes to the homeless
  • 1 year spiritually based Addiction Recovery Program for men
  • Changing Lives Center for women and children
  • Over 20,000 food boxes distributed to needy families each year
  • Family Outreach Center works with local schools to refer families that need life’s basics – food, clothes, diapers and baby formula

We would love to have you join our family in any way your heart may lead you. There are many ways that you can help us feed, clothe, provide shelter to the homeless, and assist young families as they strive to gain the skills and self-confidence needed to become independent.

Please visit our ministry partner service opportunities to see how you can serve with this ministry. These service opportunities are great hands-on activities and many of them are excellent for enrichment classes, small groups, and families.

You can also support this ministry by meeting their vital tangible ongoing needs.
