House of Refuge Sunnyslope Inc

house-of-refugeHouse of Refuge Sunnyslope, Inc is a Christ-centered, transitional living facility for working men and women. They come to us from church referrals, agency referrals, divorces, jail, and the streets. Our mission statement: “Through the Power and Love of Jesus Christ, we help transform men into the people that God intended them to be.”

We hope and pray to assist our residents with re-establishing broken relationships with spouses, children, parents, friends, and of course, God. Love is the answer, but forgiveness is the key. We praise God for the prayer, volunteer, and financial support from Scottsdale Bible.

Residents must have two forms of identification, be able and willing to find full-time employment, and test negative for drug and alcohol use. Our residents are required to attend three Bible studies each week, or attend meetings at their own church. We do not accept residents who are convicted of, or have “plea-bargained” to a violent crime, a sex crime, or arson. Residents can stay up to two years. We can house up to 37 residents between our main shelter and three houses in our immediate neighborhood.

Please visit our ministry partner service opportunities to see how you can serve with this ministry. These service opportunities are great hands-on activities and many of them are excellent for enrichment classes, small groups, and families.

You can also support this ministry by meeting their vital tangible ongoing needs.
