• Easter Basket Drive for Phoenix Rescue Mission
  March 6–19
  5 p.m.–5 p.m., Outreach and Family patio tables (map)
  We need lots of candy, Easter baskets and other items for this service opportunity. Please bring any of the following to the Family or Outreach Ministry tables located on the patio Sunday, March 7 and 14 or to the church office Mondays – Thursdays 7:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. before Friday March 19.
  
  * Easter baskets, buckets or containers approximately 10” in diameter (about the size of a large popcorn bucket)
  * Easter grass
  * plastic eggs
  * wrapped candy
  * cookies and treats (no chocolate please)
  * children’s Easter books
  * children’s pocket Bible or New Testament
  * coloring book and crayons
  * Easter stuffed animal
  * any Christian item that would help share the Gospel with children and families.

• Easter Family Outreach Project

  Join us to assemble Easter baskets for Phoenix Rescue Mission’s Easter Outreach event. Each family that helps assemble baskets will have a great time picking out candy and other items to make a basket of love for a child less fortunate. Each child (or family) will also have the opportunity to write an encouraging note and to pray for the child receiving the basket.
  
  We will need lots of candy, Easter baskets and other items for this service opportunity. • Matthew 25 Project Homeless Outreach

  Matthew 25 Project volunteers prepare hundreds of meals, provide much-needed toiletries, and encourage women, children, and families through the word of God. We serve The Bridge (ministry to families in transition), and three Valley homeless shelters: UMOM New Day Facility (homeless and domestic violence families), Victory Place (homeless veterans), and Watkins Overflow Shelter.
  
  We organize donations at the shelters. You are welcome to join our team – this is a great one time or monthly service opportunity for families, Bible study groups, and Enrichment class groups.
  
  Bring toiletry items, new undergarments and new socks to us directly at the orientation meeting on the 3rd Saturday of every month or drop donations off at church Sundays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. Clearly mark Matthew 25 Project on all donations.

• Christian Family Care Agency 7th Annual Garden Brunch and Fashion Show

  Join us for our 7th Annual Garden Brunch and Fashion Show to benefit the Christian Family Care Agency. Guest speaker is Naomi Rhode. Silent auction starts at 9am. Fashion show starts at 9:15am.

• Messianic Passover Seder

  Join us for our annual Messianic Passover Seder. We will partake of the Passover elements and understand how Jesus, our Passover Lamb, fulfilled this Feast. Dinner will be potluck. Everyone is welcome to attend and this is an excellent Cost: a dish to share and $3.00 per person to cover the cost of paper goods and the Passover elements at each table. • House of Refuge Powdered Drink Drive
  April 10–18
  5 p.m.–5 p.m., patio (map)
  Our residents at the House of Refuge in Sunnyslope work 8+ hours in 100+ degree heat, and commute on buses with little or no air-conditioning or walk to get to work. Please donate powdered Gatorade, Lemonade, or Ice Tea drink mix to bless our working men and women with cool, refreshing beverages during the hottest days of the summer. Bring them on Sunday April 11 or April 18 to our patio table or to the administrative office the week prior Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.

• Share at the Fair Evangelism Outreach with Child Evangelism Fellowship
  April 14–18
  9 a.m.–9 p.m., 19th Avenue and McDowell (map)
  The Maricopa County Fair is coming April 14-18, and the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS will be there! Child Evangelism Fellowship will be sharing the Gospel with children, teens, and familes using bead bracelets. Over 1800 people were reached last year. With your help we can reach even more people for Jesus Christ. At home training is available or just come and you'll catch on.

Admission to the Fair is FREE from 9AM to 3PM weekdays. Parking is $7.00. Admissions after 3PM and on the weekend is $7.00 per person. • Tanzania Project Sponsor Photo Day

  Join us to have a family photo taken and write an encouraging note to your sponsored child. Our sponsored children need your love, encouragement and teaching of God’s word to grow into beautiful people that glorify God. These photos and notes will be taken this summer by short term mission teams to your sponsored child in Tanzania. (close)

• Neighborhood Ministries Stock the Store Food Drive
  April 24–May 2

  Bring items to the Neighborhood Ministries patio table on Sunday April 25 or May 2. Items will also be taken at the church from 7:30am to 7:30pm Monday through Thursday. Clearly mark all donations for Neighborhood Ministries.
  
  Neighborhood Ministries serves Phoenix’s poor, caring for their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs. The Neighborhood Center provides food, clothing, teen parenting classes, summer camps, tutoring and mentoring programs, crisis assistance, leadership programs, and a myriad of other life-transforming activities. We serve over 1000 children, youth and families each week through a variety of programs.

• Hopeful Treasures Clothing/Household Drive

  Bring items to the donation truck located in the south parking lot on Saturday from 1 - 3 p.m. and Sunday from 7:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. All items are tax-deductible. Larger items call 480-538-0626 to schedule pickup. If you are unable to donate this weekend items will be taken at the church the week prior from 7:30am to 7:30pm Monday through Thursday. Clearly mark all donations for the Living Hope Women's Center.
  
  All proceeds from this clothing and household goods drive will benefit the Living Hope Women’s Centers of the White Mountains. This is a Christian ministry dedicated to the sanctity of human life, the belief in abstinence until marriage and the teaching of sound Christian precepts of life-style and parenting. (close)
• Mexico Men's Team

  This is a men's construction team and they will be doing various construction projects. (close)
• Phoenix Rescue Mission Water Drive
  June 13
  8 a.m.–6 p.m., patio (map)
  As the temperatures in the Valley climb into the triple digits, the Phoenix Rescue Mission is the primary agency tasked with providing heat relief to thousands on the street. Their Hope Coach canvasses Valley streets handing out water bottles as well as sack meals, clothes and shoes to the men and women on the streets. During the summer months bottled water is desperately needed—water saves lives!

• Neighborhood Ministries Soles for Souls Drive
  July 10–25

  Each year we help Neighborhood Ministries with their annual Soles for Souls back-to-school shoe drive. Neighborhood Ministries serves the poorest of the poor in inner-city Phoenix. There are approximately 450 kids in the Neighborhood Ministries Kids Club program and they all need a new pair of shoes! Please help these kids start the school year off right by stopping by the tables located on the patio and picking up a packet that has all the details for purchasing a pair of shoes.
  
  You return the shoes to the Neighborhood Ministries patio table on Sundays. You may also return them to the church from 7:30am to 7:30pm Mondays through Thursdays. Just remember the shoes must be returned no later than Sunday July 25.

• Phoenix Rescue Mission Back to School Drive
  July 10–25

  It’s time to start shopping for back-to-school supplies and the Phoenix Rescue Mission needs your help again this year to make sure over 1500 needy children in Phoenix start the school year with the supplies they need to be successful.
  
  It’s easy to help. Fill a basic backpack with: Crayons, #2 Pencils, Pencil Box or Pouch, Glue, Scissors, Pens, Two Pocket Folders, 1″ 3 Ring Binders, Colored Pencils, Wide-Ruled Filler Paper, Wide-Ruled Notebooks, Composition books, Markers
  
  You return the backpacks and school supplies to the Phoenix Rescue Mission patio table on Sundays. You may also return them to the church from 7:30am to 7:30pm Mondays through Thursdays. Just remember the backpacks and school supplies must be returned no later than Sunday July 25.
