Southeast Asia
Within the Southeast Asia we are specifically engaged in the following countries:
- Papua New Guinea
- Solomon Islands
James and Karen Ashley: SOLOMON ISLANDS
James and Karen Ashley have been involved in Bible translation in the Solomon Islands since 1986. They, along with their three (now grown) children, lived and worked amongst the Sa’a people on the island of Small Malaita. The Sa’a New Testament was published in 2005 and James and Karen have since been involved in administrative functions for the Solomon’s Bible translation group. The Ashleys continue to upgrade their linguistic qualifications in order to better serve the linguistic and translation consultant needs of various national translators working in the remaining 40 Solomon’s languages where translation work is still needed. Affiliated with Scottsdale Bible since 1986.

Kevin and Debbie Ludwig: PAPUA NEW GUINEA
After nine years of private practice in North Scottsdale, the Lord called the Ludwigs to go to Papua New Guinea (PNG) in 1994 to establish a medical clinic in an area where care was of such poor quality that it was virtually unusable. It is Kevin’s job to help keep the missionaries healthy so that they can continue with their work among the tribal people of PNG. The clinic takes care of missionaries and local people and provides a wide array of medical, laboratory and pharmacy services. They also provide medical consultations via radio or email for the tribal missionaries which in turn enables them to provide basic medical care to the tribal people. Affiliated with Scottsdale Bible since 1993.
