Dr. Greg Crow
Dr. Crow is a graduate of Rosemead School of Psychology, Biola University. He has been a psychologist in private practice in Scottsdale since 1982, specializing in the treatment of addictions (primarily sex addiction), marriage counseling, trauma recovery, depression, anxiety and problems with adolescents. He is the co-author, with Dr. Ralph Earle, of the book Lonely All the Time for sex addicts and their spouses.
He counsels many couples on communication and conflict resolution skills both here in Arizona and at Barnabas Family Ministries in British Columbia. Greg also serves in other areas at church; most notably in speaking on couples’ and men’s issues. Greg and his wife, Gail, have been married 31 years. Greg provides supervision to our LACs.
Jerri Shields
Jerri started in the counseling field working with stressed and struggling families through the Confident Kids program at Scottsdale Bible church over 10 years ago.
Jerri’s passion for working with children and adolescents led her to work with homeless youth through HomeBase Youth Services.
Jerri’s background includes over 20 years of business management experience. She is both nationally certified (NCC) and state licensed (LPC) and a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Jerri is currently working in her private practice (Choice Counseling Services, LLC at 84th Street and Shea.
Jerri also volunteers one clinical day a week at the Scottsdale Bible Counseling Center.
Dr. Justin Smith
Dr. Smith is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (MACP) and Wheaton College (Psy.D.). He has over 17 years of professional experience counseling individuals, couples and families.
He has worked for community mental health, a Christian marriage and family counseling center, and the Wisconsin State Hospital.
Dr. Smith currently heads the graduate counseling programs at Phoenix Seminary. Areas of practice include couples, families, sexual addictions, and personal growth.
Trish Ferree
Trish is a Licensed Associate Counselor for Christian Family Care Agency. She holds a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Ottawa University and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Tulsa.
Trish’s passion is to help hurting people find healing and hope in Christ. Her areas of focus are women’s issues, abuse and trauma, depression, anxiety disorders, grief and loss, and relationship issues.
When not counseling at our Counseling Center, Trish also sees clients at CFCA.
Lindy Johnson
Lindy graduated from the University of Western Ontario in London Ontario in 1976 with a Bachelors Degree in Education. She started her 13-year professional career as a special education teacher in Burlington, a city on the outskirts of Toronto, Ontario. Her husband Kim and their two young children, Jeff and Kelly, moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1990 to allow Kim to pursue his family practice career in the southwest.
Lindy put her career on hold and chose to stay at home with her children during the challenging years of preteen and adolescence. As her children were completing their high school years, she decided to pursue her interest in counseling. In 2002 Lindy enrolled in the co-op program offered by Phoenix Seminary and Ottawa University and pursued a Masters degree in Counseling and a diploma in Christian Counseling. She has been working at Phoenix Christian Counseling Associates for the last two years and is currently volunteering her services at the Scottsdale Bible Church Counseling Center. Lindy’s counseling interests are marriage counseling and women’s issues (depression, anxiety, identity and self esteem issues, trauma and loss, abortion healing and adult childhood abuse healing).
In her spare time Lindy loves to hike, golf and cycle in the Flagstaff area with her husband and friends.
Cristi Soiya
Cristi Soiya is a Licensed Professional Counselor, an Independent Substance Abuse Counselor and an NBCC National Certified Counselor in private practice in Scottsdale. She earned her Master of Arts in professional counseling from Ottawa University, received additional training from The Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and also holds a B.S. in Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago. Cristi has served Scottsdale Bible Church through volunteer consultation to the Counseling Ministry in the area of chemical dependency and recovery and recently lead an Introduction to the 12 Steps group on Sunday afternoons.
Vanessa Van Dyke
Vanessa Van Dyke, a Licensed Associate Counselor, completed her Master’s of Professional Counseling at Ottawa University and holds a Graduate Diploma in Christian Counseling from Phoenix Seminary. Currently, Vanessa wears two professional hats. She recently joined North Pointe Counseling Center and is building her private practice. She is also the Clinical Training Coordinator for a Phoenix-based community mental health organization that works with seriously mentally ill adults. Her areas of interest and passion are in trauma and abuse recovery, depression, anxiety, identity issues, and sexuality issues.
Prior to entering the mental health field, Vanessa worked for eight years in college and young adult ministry, giving her a special interest in working with this age group and for developing a keen enjoyment of practical jokes.
