Dr. Greg Crow

Dr. Crow is a graduate of Rosemead School of Psychology, Biola University. He has been a psychologist in private practice in Scottsdale since 1982, specializing in the treatment of addictions (primarily sex addiction), marriage counseling, trauma recovery, depression, anxiety and problems with adolescents. He is the co-author, with Dr. Ralph Earle, of the book Lonely All the Time for sex addicts and their spouses.

He counsels many couples on communication and conflict resolution skills both here in Arizona and at Barnabas Family Ministries in British Columbia. Greg also serves in other areas at church; most notably in speaking on couples’ and men’s issues. Greg and his wife, Gail, have been married 31 years. Greg provides supervision to our LACs.


Jerri Shields

Jerri started in the counseling field working with stressed and struggling families through the Confident Kids program at Scottsdale Bible church over 10 years ago.

Jerri’s background includes over 20 years of business management experience. She is both nationally certified (NCC) and state licensed (LPC) and a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Jerri is currently working in her private practice (Choice Counseling Services, LLC at 84th Street and Shea).

Jerri also volunteers one clinical day a week at the Scottsdale Bible Counseling Center.


Dr. Justin Smith

Dr. Smith is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (MACP) and Wheaton College (Psy.D.). He has over 17 years of professional experience counseling individuals, couples and families.

He has worked for community mental health, a Christian marriage and family counseling center, and the Wisconsin State Hospital.

Dr. Smith currently heads the graduate counseling programs at Phoenix Seminary. Areas of practice include couples, families, sexual addictions, and personal growth.


Trish Ferree

Trish graduated from Ottawa University with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Tulsa.
Trish’s mission is to help hurting people find healing and hope in Christ. Her areas of focus are anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship issues, women’s issues and trauma and abuse. She volunteers one day a week at the Scottsdale Bible Counseling Center.

When not counseling, she enjoys hiking in the great outdoors with friends and family.


Tessa Tyson

Tessa Tyson grew up in Southern California, became a Christian at age 8, and was a member of Saddleback Church for many years before moving to Arizona. Tessa and her husband, Mark, moved to Phoenix during the summer of 2010 to begin his medical residency program.

Tessa completed her undergraduate degree in Family Studies and Human Development at the University of Arizona and earned her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Abilene Christian University. Tessa is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and currently works as a primary therapist at Parc Place Residential Treatment Center in Chandler. Tessa is passionate about helping couples grow closer in their relationship with Christ in their journey together and is excited to have this opportunity to help families at Scottsdale Bible Church.


Michael Hutt

Michael is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) and a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC). Michael started his career in the electrical engineering field at Purdue University and completed his Master’s Degree from ASU. He was employed in the industry for 10 years.

Believing that God was calling him to pursue counseling as a new vocation, Michael enrolled in Phoenix Seminary’s counseling program in 2006. He recently completed his Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Ottawa University and Graduate Diploma in Christian Counseling from Phoenix Seminary. Michael works at Journeys Counseling Center in Tempe and is passionate about helping couples and families experience God’s redeeming power in their relationships.

When Michael is not counseling, he and his wife, Patricia, enjoy exercising, and he is keen on playing with their two young children. The Counseling Ministry is thankful for Michael’s volunteer hours of expressing the love of Christ to those who are hurting in the church and the community.

Mike DeMoss

Mike started his career in business, acquiring a B.S. Degree in Marketing/Management from the University of Texas at Dallas. While serving as an Associate Pastor in a small church in South San Francisco, Mike received training at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, CA.

Trusting that God was leading him into a counseling ministry, Mike left Corporate America after 30 years and received a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling (MAPC) at Ottawa University in Phoenix. Mike works at Concentric Counseling Inc. in Chandler, AZ, and specializes in men’s issues, marriage and family, depression, and anxiety-related issues.  In addition to volunteering hours at Scottsdale Bible Counseling Center, Mike serves in leadership for the Arizona Counselors Association. Scottsdale Bible Counseling Center very much appreciates Mike’s providing one day of volunteer hours at the Center.

When Mike is not counseling, he enjoys golfing and exercising. He and his wife, Karen, are involved in various ministries at Scottsdale Bible Church.
