KidzStreet: Grades 1–4

KidzStreet is where dynamic Bible lessons are taught through storytelling, drama, video and more, where teachers connect with kids through small groups, relational teaching and where the church partners with parents to help them be the spiritual leaders of their children.

KidzStreet consists of two primary environments: Body Shop and classroom time.

Body Shop

The name comes from Romans 12 where Paul encourages us “to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, for this is your spiritual act of worship.” After you drop your child off in class, the class will transition to a large group environment called Body Shop where children will learn what God’s Word says about our relationship to Him and others as well as participate in engaging worship. Dynamic story tellers, music, video, drama and more will be used to make the lesson fun. Children will be taught that God’s Word is where we go to make right choices and that God desires and deserves our worship. Parents, see Body Shop for yourselves!

Classroom

After Body Shop, children return to class and break up into groups. Through various activities, discussions and prayer, children learn practical applications of how to apply what they learned in Body Shop. The goal is for children to become “doers of the Word and not merely hearers of the Word.” There are four main components of Small Groups:

  • Bible story exploration
  • Weaving faith into life
  • Prayer
  • Memory verse review

Missions & Me

M&M is our missions awareness program for our grades one–four. The purpose of M&M is to help our children to catch the vision of “seeing the world through God’s eyes, and loving the world with His heart.” Sessions include learning about other countries and peoples, meeting Scottsdale Bible missionaries, hands-on activities and music. M&M is held four–six times per year as part of the regular KidzStreet program.

Quarter Review Games

At the end of each quarter, kids from each class join together in Body Shop for fun, fast-paced and exciting games that will help them review what they learned during the previous quarter.
Next Review Games – Nov 30.
