KCRG families play an active role in helping others around the world. Our kids live out the R in KCRG and Reach Out through selected local and global ministries.
Global Outreach—Feed My Starving Children
Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit. Their philosophy is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals formulated specifically for starving children, which FMSC will ship to nearly 70 countries around the world.
KCRG has adopted this organization for the school year. FMSC has a warehouse in Tempe, Arizona where you can bring your family (children ages 5 and up) to prepare the packaged meals.
FMSC Family Serve Opportunities
Scottsdale Bible is encouraging a Day of Service where we go out into the community to serve those in need. We challenge you as a family to consider signing up to serve at Feed My Starving Children from 9–11 a.m. on one of the following Saturdays: October 1, November 5 and December 3, as your Day of Service commitment. FMSC Outreach Results—WOW!
What an incredible effort we saw from our KCRG children! Last fall, our ministry ran a quarter drive using M&M Mini’s canisters. Our children, many of them who added chores and odd jobs to raise the quarters to fill their canisters, donated more than $1,972, which provided over 10,000 meals to starving children in Haiti and other countries. Great job, kids!
Our 2011 packing events have so far resulted in over 12,000 meals to date.
