The Bible - God's truth for His People
We just finished the first week of Class 100-200-300 at Scottsdale Bible Church. It was very exciting to see the people that God drew together for this session. There were well over 100 participants in this class.
In the class are people from all walks of life, a wide span of ages, people who are taking the class to become members of Scottsdale Bible Church, as well a people who desire to know more about God, the Bible, and how Scottsdale Bible Church interprets many of the doctrines found in God’s word.
In the first of the eight week series, we covered “Knowing God and His Word”. Here is a quick recap of the topics discussed:
- What is truth? Is there a true truth? If so, would you want to know about it?
- We also learned that God has revealed Himself to us in three ways:
- God has revealed himself through Creation.
- God has revealed himself through Jesus Christ.
- God has revealed himself through the Bible
- How can we know that the Bible is reliable?
- What is the Bible’s role in the life of a Christian?
- How do I study the Bible?
Our topic for next week’s class is: Who is Jesus?
