Membership and Baptism
Membership
Scottsdale Bible Church encourages, but does not require, membership. The preferred pathway toward membership is for interested persons to attend our Class 100•200•300 series.
Eligibility
Each person applying for membership is required to accept the church’s Statement of Faith and agree to be governed by the published rules of the church. Persons at any age who have made a confession of faith in Christ are eligible to be considered for membership by the Elder Board. Only members who are at least 18 years old may vote.
Procedure
Persons applying for membership are required to apply in writing. The application should be signed by the applicant and include a clear profession of faith in Christ.
Discipline, termination and restoration may be carried out if necessary by the affirmative vote of at least two-thirds of the Elder Board. Church discipline shall be carried out according to Biblical directives (i.e., Matthew 18:15–20; I Corinthians 5:1–13; Galatians 6:1–2; II Thessalonians 3:14–15; James 5:19–20) and according to the discipline policy for Scottsdale Bible Church.

Baptism
We practice full immersion, administered to those individuals who have made a personal profession of faith in Jesus Christ. Every member is encouraged to observe this ordinance. Candidates for baptism must attend a baptism class (held quarterly) or go to Class 300. Public baptisms are conducted several times each year.
