Ask A Question

Q: We were discussing the sermon and Adam and Eve and I asked him a question and his usual answer to me was as always lets go read about it in the Bible. So we did we started reading about Adam and Eve and on into the first chapter when I asked him where did Cains wife come from??

A:
When the origin of the races is discussed, this question always seems to come up: " If Cain was the child of the only couple alive on Earth, where did he get his wife?" Such questions are often raised by evolutionists, not for the purpose of seeking truth, but to try to embarrass anyone who would be so naive as to believe the Bible. The skeptic knows neither scripture nor the power of God. If he knew scripture, he would know the answer is located in the first few pages of the Bible. Genesis 5:4 states: After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. And if the skeptic knew about the power of God, he would realize that God could provide a wife for Cain, especially since He was able to create Adam and Eve in the first place.
I have a question for the skeptic: Where did the first baboon (and every other creature that supposedly evolved) get its mate? Did they evolve in pairs? How convenient.
Although daughters are not mentioned until Gen. 5:4 no doubt Cain was married by the time he murdered his brother Abel. Jewish records say Adam and Eve had 33 sons and 23 daughters! Don’t forget
- Adam did live for 930 years, so there was plenty of time!
