Ask A Question

Q: Hello, I have a four year old son. Should I get him baptised?

A: Baptism as described in the New Testment is for people's who are fully cognizant of the implications and ramifications of becoming a follower of Jesus Christ following conversion in order to demonstrate publicly their acknowledgement of Jesus Christ's transforming work in their lives.

Therefore, although rare, if your four year old has had a conversion experience yes, he is legible for baptism following completion of our baptism class.

Due to the fact that the typical four year old is usually not old enough to comprehend the need for salvation many families choose to dedicate their child to the Lord. This, of course, does not give salvation to the child. Rather, it is a public commitment by the parents to raise the child according to biblical principles and to present the gospel to him/her at an early age.
